My recent trip to London was more than just a business adventure — it was a deeply enriching experience. As I set out to explore new opportunities and expand the new vibrant market for CUUB, I had a great opportunity to meet with incredible people, explore what is actually the UK market from the inside and feel what are the current needs and trends in the field of creative content for most of the partners.
One of the things which I liked the most, I had such a wonderful aftertaste after each meeting and talk I had. Londoners are open-minded, sociable and always ready to collaborate with new companies, offering valuable recommendations. I think that the diversity of the city itself definitely has influenced their business and partnership relations. It was always easy to talk, laugh and feel that you were in the right place. Also, there is a large architectural community that makes it easy to network and build lots of valuable connections.

Second insight which I caught is that you don’t need to have a physical office in London if you want to operate in London. The thing is that the industry has changed a lot during the pandemic era. It is interesting that most of the companies and their processes were quite set by working offline and it was a challenging period to adjust to the new rules of online communication and remote collaborations. It took almost a year for companies to stand out and start operating remotely with the same productivity and effectiveness. And a funny fact, that after things went back to normal, nowadays there is an unofficial rule that Friday is a remote working day so Londoners have “a second Friday” on Thursday when they can relax in the evening after a difficult week.

And lastly, at the moment, the UK market starts to grow again. There are lots of projects underway which could be very different to each other by style, position on the market, social impact and areas. Architects find themself useful in all types of the project starting from creating the airports and stadiums, residential buildings, student campus, medical facilities and ending up with some unbelievable working spaces. And obviously such an expansion is a great sign. Because you feel like you are entering the newborn market where various industries require professionals, skilled specialists who will contribute their artistic vision and creative touch.

After all I said, London left a wonderful impact on me and I definitely will be back soon.
